Each cheese board is meticulously handcrafted by David Chapman, a master craftsman who has dedicated 54 years to 1847 Winery. The boards are made from retired French and American oak barrels that once matured our premium Barossa Valley wines, imbuing the wood with a rich patina, distinctive grain, and a subtle wine aroma developed over decades.

Every piece is individually cut, shaped, and polished to highlight the natural character of the oak, creating a beautiful balance of rustic charm and refined elegance.
